The Story of Dred Scott and the Dred Scott Decision by ~ I picked up this short book because I am reading Beloved, and the Fugitive Slave Act and Dred Scott are both mentioned in that story, and while I have heard the name Dred Scott many times, I really did not know what his story and significance was.
